How does the automatic alignment work?
ProgressCam uses on-device machine learning to detect facial and body landmarks in your photos. When you take a new photo, the app identifies key reference points and automatically scales, rotates, and crops the image so it lines up precisely with your previous photos. All processing happens locally on your device.
What is the ghost overlay?
The ghost overlay is a semi-transparent version of your previous photo that appears on the camera viewfinder. It helps you position yourself in the same spot, angle, and distance as your reference photo, resulting in more consistent progress images. You can adjust the opacity to your preference.
What types of progress can I track?
ProgressCam works great for fitness and body transformations, skincare routines, hair growth, orthodontic treatment, wound healing, plant growth, home renovation projects, and any other visual change you want to document over time. The landmark alignment works best with faces and bodies, but the ghost overlay is useful for any subject.
Sharing & Exports
What export formats are available?
You can export side-by-side comparisons, split slider images, timelapse videos, animated GIFs, slideshows with crossfade, and collage grids. You can also add overlay labels (before/after, dates, or day counts) and toggle watermarks and HD resolution.
What is the export limit for free users?
Free users get 10 lifetime exports. After that, you'll need to upgrade to Pro for unlimited exports. The export counter is shown in the share screen.
Cloud & Account
Are my photos uploaded to the cloud?
By default, no. All your photos are stored locally on your device. If you sign in and have available cloud storage, your projects will be backed up automatically. You can manage this from the Storage section in Settings.
Do I need an account to use ProgressCam?
No. All core features — capturing, comparing, and exporting — work without signing in. An account is only needed for cloud backup and cross-device sync.

What does ProgressCam Pro include?
Pro unlocks unlimited projects (free: 3), unlimited photos per project (free: 10), unlimited exports (free: 10 lifetime), HD exports without watermark, and expanded cloud storage.
How do I restore my purchase?
Go to Settings and tap "Restore Purchases." Make sure you're using the same Apple ID you originally purchased with. If the restore doesn't work, please contact us.
How do I cancel my subscription?
ProgressCam Pro is a one-time lifetime purchase, so there's nothing to cancel. Once you buy it, it's yours forever on the device where you purchased it.
